In cheery news, I've also had 21 people sign up for my mailing list, so hopefully that will also boost the results of book 2. I did do a few things, like set up a Web site, twitter account, create a print version, and publish this to non-Amazon places, so I am doing some non-writing things, but mostly this is building the foundation for a larger line of books. I'm concerned that if I market it heavily, I might get more hate than love as readers are left hanging. Hopefully, the two books combined will help boost each other up in the rankings.Īlso, this book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Once I have the followup, I'll very likely put some money and effort into marketing, whether for this book, the followup, or both. Until then, once the readers try this one, there's really nowhere else for them to go. But the more I look at it, the more I think I should wait until the followup is completed. I've debated marketing, etc., to try to jack up the results of this book. Show off your favorite photos and videos to the world, securely and privately show content to your friends and family, or blog the photos and videos you take with a cameraphone. However, I'm contemplating the idea of giving people who sign up to my mailing list a free short story. Flickr is almost certainly the best online photo management and sharing application in the world. Thanks so much for the encouragement and comments, I really appreciate it! I prefer to not ever list a book as free and instead just spread my books to every outlet I can find.
